If you are permanently employed at Aalborg University, it is possible to apply for funding for individual competency development through Den Statslige Kompetencefond (the Competence Foundation of the Danish State).
There are four application rounds each year. Please note that there are 5 different pools and the deadlines are not all the same.
Deadline for application is the day before the round of applications opens. In this way, your superior can approve the application and forward it to further processing at the Competence Foundation.

The foundation provides support for:
• Education and course fees (excluding VAT)
• Materials
• Transport and accommodation
The foundation has a list of already approved activities, but you can also apply for other courses, etc. Support is granted for individual modules as well as for an entire competency development activity, e.g., a degree program.
The procedure is as follows:
- Make an agreement for education/course participation with your team leader (technical/administrative staff) or head of Department (scientific staff).

You will get a notification from the Competence Foundation when they have handled your application.
3. If the application is approved, you must fill out this form for the finance employees at HST:

4. Then, you will receive a requsition number and can continue registering for the education activity.
If an invoice is to be sent to HST, please remember to state EAN no. 5798000420915.
