Research Registration

The VBN platform is AAU’s research portal. The purpose of the platform is to create visibility of the research carried out at AAU. VBN is your central hub for linking to and collecting information from other well-known research portals, such as ORCID and Google Scholar.

VBN can collect information on research group level.

You can use VBN when developing your funding plans, extracting information for your CV, show casing the impact of your publications; VBN can boost the visibility of your research.

Your personal profile in VBN will be automatically established in connection with your employment at AAU. Please always ensure that your profile is updated and optimally utilized.

    Registration of publications

    Automatic registration

    The VBN Team continuously records publications that can be searched in Scopus and PubMed. Please note that delays may occur in terms of record display in the databases. Usually, the records are not displayed until the release of the final publication.

    Manual registration

    • Publications that cannot be searched in Scopus and PubMed must be referred to the VBN Team via email to vbn-hst@aub.aau.dk.
    • Upon manual registration, the VBN Team must have information about:
      • Publication type (journal article, conference article, conference abstract, book contribution etc.)
      • DOI/link to your publication
      • PDF of the publication, if possible 
      • Title of the conference (if a conference contribution)
      • Peer-review status: peer-reviewed/not peer-reviewed
    • Briefing and subsequent correspondence regarding publication registrations will mainly take place directly in Pure, but the individual researcher will receive an e-mail alert.
    •  If you need to register a publication or other content in a rush, it is possible to do it yourself by logging in to Pure.

    It is the responsibility of the individual researcher to inform the VBN Team about any missing publications.
